Editors are important, part 57

They know that subjects and verbs need to agree, even in questions. The following headline is disagreeingly blaring at Free Software Magazine:

FSM-AreMS

Yikes! Of course, this should be “Is Microsoft to blame…”

In this question, Microsoft is the subject, not costs. Thus, the singular form of the verb to be is required.

Reading this almost makes my ears bleed. Will Free Software Magazine be liable for my medical bills?
