‘Haiku U, Glenn Beck’

Like most people with brains — or who actually read the Bible instead of cynically using it as a political wedge — the folks at Jewish Funds for Justice were outraged by this recent Glenn Beck quote:

I beg you, look for the words ‘social justice’ or ‘economic justice’ on your church website. If you find it, run as fast as you can. Social justice and economic justice are code words [for Communism and Nazism]. Am I advising people to leave their church? Yes!

So they’ve invited folks to respond by writing haikus (three-line poems with five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and five syllables in the third line). After the jump, some of my favorites so far.

No riddle at all
Both Glenn’s heart and his brain are
Two sizes too small

Why does Glenn exist?
Even the Body of Christ
has to have an ass

~Rev. Dave

If your nation’s pledge
says “and justice for all”, then
leave America!

ignorance and hate,
apparatus of the crazed
refuge of the scared

~kevin mcd.

Paul said love of cash
Was the root of all evil–
He misspelled “Glenn Beck.

Balaam’s ass talks like a man
Beck reverses it

I wondered about
The FOX slogan, but Glenn is
Fairly unbalanced

And my submission:

Which is worse? If Beck
believes the crap he spews or
does not but still spews
